Meat Liquor to open in Islington
Meat Liquor is to open its fourth London restaurant in Islington next summer.
The company, founded by Yianni Papoutsis and Scott Collins, will open the new restaurant in an abandoned Citroen garage in Upper Street, which has played host to a number of pop-ups in recent years, including Philip Dundas' PipsDish.
It will be the first new London site for the group since it opened Meat Mission in Hoxton Market in December 2012.
The announcement of the Islington site comes as the group gears up to open in Leeds this September, and Bristol once Leeds is bedded in.
The new Islington restaurant will be spread across an old garage, workshops, offices and storerooms, with the newly unearthed cellar and basement, it will have outdoor seating for 40 people.
Co-founders Scott Collins and Yianni Papoutsis, said: "We never expected to open in Islington's Upper Street, the property came to us and it was something we couldn't turn down, we hope to do it proud."
Licensing permitting, Meat Liquor will open in Islington Summer 2015.
