Restaurant chain Yo! Sushi is to launch a brand new ordering system at its new Heathrow Terminal 2 site, that will allow customers to pre-order their food online before they get there.
The new restaurant, due to open in June 2014, will allow airline passengers to collect their pre-ordered takeaway food as soon as they come through security. For those wanting to dine in, hot food and bespoke orders can also be placed in advance.
The restaurant will also showcase a range of set menus, including a pre-flight "wellness menu", which aims to provide customers with the optimum amount of nutrition before getting on a long haul flight, highlighting various nutritional benefits to aid a comfortable journey such as omega 3 oil found in sashimi.
Serving up more than 80 different dishes on Yo! Sushi's signature ‘kaiten' conveyor belt, travellers will be able to choose from a range of Japanese inspired items including hot food such as soups, rice, noodle-based dishes with or cold items like the Yo! roll, sesame salmon sashimi, kaiso salad, prawn tempura and hot classics like best-sellers chicken katsu curry, salmon teriyaki and yakisoba noodles.
Alison Vickers, business development director at Yo! Sushi said: "We are delighted to be expanding our Heathrow offering as our existing site in Terminal 3 has been a key factor to the success of the brand in the UK. Our fun, fresh and fast menu options are proving a hit with international passengers who are strapped for time so our Terminal 2 restaurant design and service reflects this."
