Shane Kavanagh appointed regional managing director at BaxterStorey

Shane Kavanagh has been appointed regional managing director at BaxterStorey, having left his role as commercial director at Benugo earlier this year.

Both companies are owned by Westbury Street Holdings (WSH).

Kavanagh started his career as a barista at Coffee Republic and made his way up the hospitality sector career ladder, ultimately working for Benugo in two separate stints, for a total of almost 16 years.

He has experience in business development and operations, having been chief executive of Crussh, the food and juice bars, from 2016 to 2020. While in the role, he grew the company from 28 to 35 sites, including Crussh's first venue outside London.

During his time at Benugo the company rolled out a carbon labelling scheme across its UK restaurants and cafes.

Speaking about his new appointment, Kavanagh said: "It's a hugely exciting time to join BaxterStorey, and I'm delighted to be part of the business. The London team is full of brilliantly talented people with amazing client locations, and I've been blown away by the quality of the food and coffee we offer.

"BaxterStorey has always been focused on quality, and activity like project knead, our craft based program to train chefs to bake bread rather than buy are incredibly exciting to be a part of.

"As part of the WSH family, our partnerships with Benugo, Searcy's Portico and Notes music and coffee provide additional resource, giving us a lot to play with when designing the right solution for clients."
