Bolton-based baker Warburtons has diversified into the snack market with two premium lines - ChippidyDooDaa Pitta Chips and SnackaDoodle Wholegrain Snacks - designed to offer healthier alternatives to current market offerings.
ChippidyDooDaas are golden pitta chips that are not fried but baked twice for extra crunch and 60% less fat content than standard potato crisps. They come in either 40g single-serve packs in three flavours - Mature Cheese and Spring Onion, Chilli Jack, Sea Salt and Malt Vinegar - or 150g sharing packs in Mature Cheese and Spring Onion or Sea Salt and Cracked Black Pepper varieties.
Light and crispy SnackaDoodles provide 29% of the guideline daily amount (GDA) of wholegrain as they are made from 70% wholegrain wheat, corn, rice, oat and barley. High in fibre and low in calories (just 84 per single bag), SnackaDoodles come in two sizes - 20g single-serve packs and six-bag multipacks - and two flavours - Cheddar Cheese and Onion, and Sweet Chilli.
