Customer comment cards from How's My Service

Listening to your customers' views can have a significant impact on the bottom line, according to research into a US coffee shop chain.

It found that dissatisfied customers visited for just one year, spending a total of £100 in 47 trips, while highly satisfied customers made 86 visits a year and remained loyal for eight years, during which they spent an average £1,500.

To help caterers gauge their customers' opinions, the How's My group has launched a range of How's My Service comment cards for restaurants and retailers to display. These easy-to-use scorecards allow customers to grade the service, food and drink, and surroundings as well as add their own thoughts and opinions.

Available in 20 colourful designs, including a coffee cup and a wine glass, the cards allow customers to fill in their details or to e-mail their views anonymously to How's My.

They come in boxes of 120 that cost £49.95 exclusive of VAT and postage and packing.

The cards will be followed by the launch of a How's My Service website that will allow restaurant-goers to leave feedback online for any restaurants they have visited.
