Seven Italian tomato sauces are available: bolognese; Tuscan bean; creamy tomato and pesto; tomato and basil; chasseur; spicy arrabiata and vegetable. Aside from the creamy tomato and pesto sauce, one 90ml serving provides one of the five-a-day fruit and vegetable requirement. The sauces also meet UK Food Standards Agency 2010 salt reduction targets and the target nutrient specifications for school meals.
All varieties are suitable for vegetarians, free from gluten, MSG, artificial colours and flavours. Aside from creamy tomato and pesto, the sauces are also low in fat, lactose-free, vegan and contain no artificial preservatives. They come in 2.25-litre containers and have a 12-month shelf life.
The nine-strong range of Oriental sauces also meets FSA salt reduction targets, contains no hydrogenated oils, MSG or artificial colours and flavours. They come in cases of two x 2.25-litre units and have a 12-month shelf life. The range includes: black bean, Thai sweet chilli dipping sauce and hoisin and plum sauce.
A range of dehydrated chunky vegetable soups are also available. The flavours are: minestrone, asparagus and creamy vegetable, and with the exception of asparagus they contain enough vegetables in a 170g serving for one portion of the five-a-day requirement. The soups are carefully packed in resealable and reusable 170ml portions and come in a four-pack case, with each pack containing 25 portions.
