Marmite and Bovril bangers from Broad Oak

Hertfordshire regional sausage specialist Broad Oak is bringing a flavour of the past to National Barbecue Week, which runs from 28 May to 2 June.

The group - whose sausages and hams were served on the maiden voyage of the Queen Mary - has launched a range of bangers that incorporate two great British tastes - Bovril and Marmite.

"We were keen to take sausages back to a more nostalgic time of memorable, feisty flavours," said second-generation Broad Oak owner Roger Simons.

The sausages are available to caterers in cases of eight packs, with six sausages in a pack.
