Nestlé Professional launches plant-based recipe videos for chefs

Nestlé Professional has launched a plant-based video series aimed at inspiring chefs with new dish ideas for their return to work.

The trend towards flexitarian and plant-based diets has not been slowed by lockdown. One in five consumers in the UK are said to have reduced their meat intake since March and sales of vegan burgers, sausages and dairy free milk are increasing.

The Nestlé Professional ‘Plant to Plate' video series hopes to provide inspiration for fresh, plant-based dishes to include on menus when the hospitality sector reopens. It is hosted by Nestlé Professional's development chefs, who showcase new dishes, twists on the classics and tips and tricks to try.

During the crisis Nestlé Professional has donated £4m worth of products to frontline workers in the NHS as well as other key workers, vulnerable people and foodbanks; supported charities such as FareShare and FoodCloud; and partnered with Interserve to supply Garden Gourmet Sensational Burgers and Fillet Pieces to hospitals, offices and schools open for children of key workers.
