Pizza bases up for grabs from La Pizza Company
The pizza market was worth nearly £2b in 2009, according to Euromonitor, while Mintel reports that seven out of 10 UK consumers are eating pizza.
La Pizza Company adds that it is a sector with a high-profit margin - the company calculates that a 9in Margherita sold for £4.99 can generate a cash profit of £3.77 for operators.
To help caterers make the most of National Pizza Week in November (date still to be confirmed), La Pizza Company is giving away a case each of its Deep Pan and Thin Crust pizza bases (87 bases in total) to six Buy It! readers, which it says can make them a cash profit of £328.
