Rancilio's Mark 2 iSteam frother from the Coffee Machine Company

The Mark 2 iSteam auto milk frother from espresso machine maker Rancilio is said to be the first automatic steam wand that can produce a textured foam suitable for latte art that is indistinguishable from manually-textured milk.

The insulated, programmable wand, which can be used by unskilled staff, incorporates a choice of air valve to control bubble size and an operating panel that controls the temperature and density of the foam, with individual programmes for cappuccino and latte.
The process does not need to be monitored as the wand cuts out when it reaches the desired temperature. The wand is easily cleaned at the press of a button.

It is fitted as a standard option on Rancilio Classe 10 espresso machines and as an option with a list price of £375 on Classe 8 machines.
