Redefine hotel group signs purchasing contract with Beacon
Beacon Purchasing has signed a three-year contract to handle all the purchasing requirements of the eight-strong Redefine hotel management group.
The group includes two Holiday Inn properties and five Holiday Inn Express hotels in London, as well as the Crowne Plaza in Reading. It is part of property investment company Redefine International, which has holdings in the UK, Europe and Africa and enjoys the distinction of being the second-largest property group in South Africa.
Chris Durant, managing director of Beacon, said: "This is an excellent deal and demonstrates that entire hotel groups, and not just individual hotels, are recognising both the strategic and bottom-line value and benefits of working with Beacon. We're absolutely thrilled that Redefine's UK hotel portfolio will be using the Beacon online e-procurement system, which will help drive even greater efficiency from their purchasing."
Steven Foster, area manager of Redefine Group, said: "Working with Beacon fits well with our company's ethos to secure best value from our suppliers so that our customers ultimately reap the benefits. We're expecting to enjoy not just greater buying power but more time to concentrate on the things hotels do best, which is serve their customers, while Beacon takes away much of the headache associated with purchasing."
