Barbecues while it bakes

A griddle, barbecue and tandoori oven have been combined within a single appliance by the Clay Oven Company. The gas-fired Shahi Grill is essentially a tandoori oven with a wide top aperture. Steel bars across the top make it possible to grill meats and other foods with fat and juice dropping into the hot base of the ceramic tandoor.

Nan breads and similar breads can be cooked by placing on the hot inner walls of the tandoor. Two versions of the unit, both gas-fired, are now available: the Single with a grilling capacity of up to 15 kebabs and priced at £1,495, and the Double, which has two separate tandoors and a longer grill section able to take up to 30 kebabs, priced at £2,450.
