Bel & The Dragon announces seventh site

Joel Cadbury and Ollie Vigors' Longshot Country Inns has revealed plans to open its seventh Bel & the Dragon in Hampshire.

The latest site, called the Swan, will be located in the heart of historical village Kingsclere and serve an extensive wine list and British food.

The Swan has been styled by interior designer Nicola Harding, who was responsible for the group's sixth Bel & the Dragon, the George - also in Hampshire.

It will feature nine en-suite bedrooms and a 50-cover restaurant with a menu created by Longshot Country Inns partner and group head chef Ronnie Kimbugwe, who previously spent seven years working for Gordon Ramsay.

Sample dishes include sustainable FIH pie and English veal bolognaise as well as a rotisserie menu featuring roasted suckling pig, grilled Atlantic lobster and zucchini frites with garlic butter, created using the Josper Grill.

Warm gooey gluten-free chocolate fondant with salted caramel ice-cream and Sipsmith vodka & lemon zest sorbet will feature on the pudding menu.

Long shot co-founder and director Ollie Vigors commented: "Having grown up in Kingsclere, I am delighted to be part of the team responsible for bringing Bel & the Dragon to the stunning setting that is the Swan in Kingsclere.
