Eastender appeal
Apostrophe, a French-style café and take-away, opened this month in Shoreditch, east London. It seats 20 and is owned by Meir Abutbul, who owns two seafood restaurants and a hotel in the Israeli capital, Tel Aviv.
Another Domino's
Pizza delivery company Domino's has taken a 1,524sq ft unit in Stourbridge, West Midlands, on a 15-year lease from London & Cambridge Properties. It is the sixth Domino's delivery store in the Midlands and will employ about 30 staff.
Baker Street style Innecto, a modern Italian-style restaurant and bar, is to open in London's Baker Street on 27 September. Chef at the 110-seat restaurant, which has been renovated at a cost of £1.3m, is Eric Vernice. Owner Sami Wasif is behind the capital's Eco pizzerias and the Absolutely Starving delicatessen.
Early Indian Indian restaurant the Cinnamon Club, which opened in Victoria, London, in March, has extended its opening hours to serve breakfast on weekdays between 7.30am and 10am. The breakfast menu includes kedgeree, lentil broth, and haleem, a slow-cooked mutton and lentil porridge. The restaurant seats 180.
Sensible idea Ever So Sensible Bars is to open its first bar and restaurant, Dogma, in Nottingham in October. The new company has a 25-year lease on the site, a disused factory in the city's Lace Market, and is spending £750,000 converting it into a three-floor bar, café and 40-seat restaurant.
