Super six battle through to Gordon Ramsay final

Six chefs from the South of England have been chosen to join the final competition for the title of Gordon Ramsay Scholar 2004.

The six who made it through four semi-final cook-offs at Birmingham College of Food, Tourism and Creative Studies are James Barber of the New Angel, Dartmouth, Devon; Jamie Raferty of the Dower House, Lyme Regis, Dorset; Alan Irwin of Chapter One in Farnborough, Kent; Nathan Green of Thyme, London; Anna Haugh of Pied … Terre, London; and Graham Walker of the George Hotel, Yarmouth, Isle of Wight.

They join four other finalists (Caterer, 19 August) for the final round on 21 September at London's Restaurant Show.
