Wishbone in London's Brixton rebranded as CHICKENliquor

Free-range chicken shop Wishbone, in London's Brixton, has been rebranded as CHICKENliquor by Meatailer, the company behind MEATliquor.

The Wishbone branding has been changed to a yellow, MEATliquor faÁ§ade, and the two-storey building interior has been revamped in line with the brand's theme, including tinted windows.

MEATliquor currently has sites in London, Brighton and Leeds, and is managed by Yianni Papoutsis and Scott Collins, who started it as a van called MEATwagon, in 2009.

The brand - which aims to offer a "rough and ready" menu in a "carnivorous playground", using high-quality meat and ingredients â€' now also runs to MEATmarket in Covent Garden and MEATmission in Hoxton.

The group is now hoping to open further restaurants in London and across the UK, and is set to launch a book, the MEATliquor Chronicles: Chapter & Verse, in September this year.

Meat Liquor's burgers are brilliant but it's a shame about the queue, says Zoe Williams >>
