Japanese restaurant group K10 secure third site

Japanese-style restaurant group K10 is to open a new site, in the City of London, this June.

The 4,000 sq ft space will be the third site for the group, which already runs restaurant and takeaway operations near Liverpool Street station, and on Copthall Avenue, near Moorgate.

Located in the Minster Court office development, on the site of former Chinese restaurant China Delight, it will have 85 seats arranged around the usual "conveyor belt" serving design, plus a large takeaway section. It will also be the first K10 venue with an outdoor seating area and a bar.

He added: "Completely by coincidence we were approached by the landlord's agents to see if we were interested. We moved quickly to secure the site and are delighted to have started fit out works this week. We have a huge customer base from the insurance market and are very excited about being able to serve them on their doorstep."

First opened on Copthall Avenue in 2000, K10 is named for the "kaiten" Japanese conveyor belt style of serving food. Its menu offers a selection of sushi, sashimi, salads, tempura, teriyaki, and curries. The group also does home delivery within central London, and operates a recently-launched corporate delivery service.
