Michelin-starred chef Frances Atkins to star in More 4 film
By Katey Pigden
Michelin-starred chef Frances Atkins will be showcasing her culinary talents in A Taste of the Yorkshire Dales on More 4 tonight (13 May) at 9pm.
The one-off, hour-long film follows Atkins as she creates a new menu using grouse, crab and autumn berries at her celebrated restaurant the Yorke Arms in Pateley Bridge, North Yorkshire.
Atkins is one of only a handful of Michelin-starred female chefs in the UK, and is recognised for her original dishes, inspired by local produce and classic Yorkshire food. Many of the herbs and vegetables she uses are grown in the restaurant's gardens.
Atkins is co-owner and head chef at the 16-bedroom Yorke Arms, as well as being a member of the Masterchefs of Great Britain. She has held a Michelin star since 2003.
Atkins has previously appeared on More 4's Cooks' Questions, which originally aired in August last year. The series, hosted by Sue Perkins, saw chefs demonstrate their skills and answer questions from a studio audience.
