Maxwell's to invest £1m in late night venues
Maxwell's restaurant group has announced plans to invest £1m into its late night operations.
The independently owned group which operates 11 venues around London including Café de Paris, Roadhouse and Maxwell's in Covent Garden, intends to open more late night venues over the next two years.
The first will be Tropicana Beach Club which is due to open in October 2016. The bar and restaurant which describes itself as ‘hedonistic, immersive and unforgettable' will be led by: Jim Roberston, group operations manager; Anthony Knight, group sales and marketing manager and Jonathan Napier who will take up the position as general manager from Bunga Bunga in Battersea.
The Tropicana Beach Club will feature palm trees, beach cabanas for hire and beach-inspired cocktails such as a 4ft Palm Tree sharer.
The announcement follows the launch of London's Night Tube last week.
Knight added: "We spent 2015 researching trends, challenging our product offering and creating a new vision for the company. Londoners are looking for an immersive and unique experience which delivers shareable moments. Instagram photos act as social currency and with more and more concept venues opening, ensuring customers have an unforgettable experience is at the heart of our vision and marketing strategy."
