Ace Hotel London Shoreditch appoints Samantha Fulton as GM

Samantha Fulton, former hotel manager at the Shangri-La Hotel at the Shard, has been appointed general manager of the Ace Hotel London Shoreditch.

She has replaced Chris Penn, who left the 258-bedroom hotel last month. Penn, who intends to create a business in what he describes as "a new and unique space in the hotel industry", is currently looking to secure a property and investment.

Having spent much of her career working in the Netherlands and South Africa, Fulton arrived in London in August 2015 to join the Shangri-La. Her immediate previous role was as general manager at the Cour Jardin Business Bay in Dubai.

Fulton, who achieved a MBA from the University of Liverpool in 2013, has earlier worked with Steigenberger Hotels, AccorHotels and Sun International.
