Blacklock to open new restaurant in the City
Steak and chops restaurant Blacklock has announced the launch of its second site, Blacklock in the City, on Philpot Lane in Eastcheap, London.
The 100-cover restaurant, which is housed in the basement of a Grade II-listed building, is expected to open on 20 March.
It follows the success of Blacklock Soho on Great Windmill Street, which was launched in 2015 by Gordon Ker, formerly of steak restaurant group Hawksmoor.
Blacklock in the City will be open for lunch and dinner every day and will be accepting reservations to shorten the queues.
The menu will feature award-winning meat from Cornish butcher Philip Warren and will introduce new starters alongside the Soho favourite ‘All In' chops piled on a chargrilled flatbread.
Other dishes include the sixth rib eye, 55-day aged rump cap, a maple-cured bacon chop and a smoked and roasted chicken for two with Yorkshire puddings.
The bar will offer cocktails for £5 and a variety of wines, including those on tap.
