Jamie Barber, Ed Standring and Ian Neill buy Haché Group

Three restaurateurs have teamed up to buy gourmet burger restaurant group Haché.

Jamie Barber, co-founder of Cabana and Hush, Ed Standring, the former managing director of Richoux Group, and veteran restaurateur Ian Neill (former chief executive of Wagamama) are set to refurbish the five existing London restaurants and expand the brand.

Currently, Haché Group has restaurants in Camden, Chelsea, Clapham, Balham and Shoreditch.

Commenting on the acquisition, Jamie Barber said: “Haché is the daddy of them all and started the premium burger movement back in 2004. We are delighted to be involved.”

Ed Standring said: “We are thrilled to be working with such a well-loved brand.  We are planning a gentle programme of refurbishments over the next 12 months while bedding in new systems and integrating the business.  We’re excited about the potential of the brand and its people.”

Haché co-founder Berry Casey said: “Haché is ready for expansion and I feel Jamie and Ed are the right people to steer the brand in realising its true potential.”

Law firm Fladgate advised on the acquisition of the group.

Corporate partner, Julian Lewis, who led the Fladgate team added: “We are delighted to have helped Hush embark on the next stage of its development by completing the acquisition of this well-known burger chain and look forward to working with Jamie Barber and the team as they take the combined group forward.”
