Aramark wins F&B contract with Merlin Entertainments

Aramark has won a contract to provide food and beverage at five of Merlin Entertainments' UK locations, as well as two in the US.

The multi-year contract win will see the foodservice company overseeing F&B at Alton Towers, Chessington World of Adventures, Thorpe Park, Warwick Castle and Legoland Windsor in the UK, and Legoland California and Legoland Florida in the US.

Aramark will begin operating from March this year in the UK, with US operations up and running by the end of March 2023.

"We are proud to share our hospitality culture with Merlin Entertainments' guests and families," said John Zillmer, chief executive of Aramark. "We like to say that we're ‘rooted in service' and our scale, experience, and expertise as a global leader in foodservice innovation positions us to deliver world-class dining experiences at Merlin's resorts and hotels, both in the UK and in the US."

Nick Varney, chief executive of Merlin Entertainments, said that building an innovative and high-quality F&B offer was a key part of the business's strategy to deliver the best days out for guests: "Aramark's accomplishments in driving world-class hospitality programmes at many of the most prestigious sporting events, iconic locations, and leading destinations in the world makes them a great partner to elevate our food offering as part of the magic and memorable experiences we offer our guests."

Helen Milligan-Smith, managing director for Aramark UK, will oversee the contract within the Northern Europe region.
