Catering Academy wins £900,000 Shropshire school contract

Catering Academy has won a three-year deal with William Brookes secondary school in Much Wenlock, Shropshire.

The £900,000 contract sees the national independent operator deliver catering services to round 930 students and 110 teaching and support staff.

Catering Academy has implemented four bespoke service areas across the site: Café Six, which is the dedicated sixth form service; Café Sports, which will cater for the school and leisure centre; the Edge Theatre Bar; and the main central service for the students.

Founder director Louise Wymer said: "The impetus William Brookes place upon sustainability and a commitment to service presented a clear culture match with the ethos of Team Academy.

"We are thrilled to be using local water from Much Wenlock and will be implementing locally sourced produced throughout each service area to encourage the strong community environment deserving of such an iconic town."
