Centerplate appoints business partnership director

Simon Pile

US-based hospitality provider Centerplate has appointed Simon Pile as director of new business partnerships for its business in Europe.

Trained as a chef, Pile joins the caterer, which operates at convention centres, sports stadia and heritage venues, with more than 20 years' experience.

He was most recently the company's executive responsible for hospitality services at a number of visitor attractions including Twycross Zoo, the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, and the RAF Hendon Museum.

In his new role, Pile is tasked with partnering with clients and prospective clients in developing guest experience and business building strategies.

"We are excited to bring Simon Pile into a leadership role to further strengthen our service offerings and form new client partnerships," said Adrian Dishington, chief operating officer of Centerplate's UK operations.

"After over a decade of exceptional service to Centerplate and an impressive record of achievement in the industry, Simon is the perfect choice to assist in building Centerplate's and our clients' business."
