Drake & Morgan names Dylan Murray as operations director

Drake & Morgan, which operates seven bars and restaurants in London, has named Dylan Murray as its new operations director. He is currently UK director of operations for Soho House Group UK.

Murray will take up the role in January, reporting to managing director Jillian MacLean. His remit is to oversee the next stage in Drake & Morgan's growth, which includes two more sites in the first quarter of 2015. He will also be responsible for the day-to-day operations as well as enhancing service and delivering the planned roll-out for the company.

In his current role at Soho House, Murray is responsible for running 17 sites with an expected combined turnover of £90m in 2014. He leads and mentors a team of 17 general managers, as well as fronting the support operations division and has been instrumental in the expansion of Soho House Group UK, which has grown from eight to 17 sites, during his time.

Prior to joining Soho House, Murray was managing director of his own restaurant and gastropub business. Other previous roles have included general manager at the five-star One Aldwych Hotel, London.

MacLean said: "Dylan's experience, expertise and passion for hospitality will be a great asset as we deliver the next stage of growth for the business."
