Elior wins four year deal with Egger
Elior has won a four-year catering contract with timber and flooring manufacturer Egger worth £600,000.
The seven-day a week operation will see Elior deliver catering to 551 Egger employees, with a move away from a traditional canteen service towards a plated or one-pot style offer.
This aims to improve presentation and, through improved portion control, deliver additional cost benefits to the client.
Will Masterton, Egger's purchasing manager (technical service), described the restaurant facility as an essential welfare service provided to employees at the manufacturing site in Hexham.
"During the tender process, the Elior team was focussed and professional using their experience and skill to deliver the quality standards we were looking for," he added.
Scott Morley, sales manager at Elior, also commented: "We met with Egger over two years ago and have maintained contact throughout, building a relationship that gives us a better understanding of Egger's culture.
"At the point of tender, the Elior team had the knowledge required to match and exceed the client's expectations. The supportive approach form Egger has enabled us to flex our delivery to meet the specific needs on site."
