Four Seasons appoints Kathleen Taylor as new CEO
Luxury hotel group Four Seasons](http://www.fourseasons.com/about_us/) has announced that Kathleen Taylor will take over as president and chief executive office from the founder of the company, Isadore Sharp, on 1 August 2010.
Taylor, 52, who has worked for Four Seasons for 21 years - most recently as president and chief operating officer, said she was greatly honoured to take on her new role and is firmly committed to the company's focus on exceptional guest experiences.
"Four Seasons is well positioned to take advantage of the recovery in luxury travel and we are energized by all the positive developments at the company," she said. "These include our significant expansion plans for China, which we view as a key strategic market and a robust pipeline of more than 50 projects in development globally. "
Sharp, who started Four Seasons with a modest motor inn in Toronto, Canada IN 1961, will remain as chairman of the company overseeing the direction of the design and aesthetics of new and existing hotels. The company currently manages 82 hotels worldwide.
