De Vere Venues has made a number of senior level appointments at its latest venue, De Vere Venues Colmore Gate. Geraldine Dolan joins as general manager from De Vere Venues Uplands House. With more than 25 years' experience in hotel management across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Dolan has particular experience in food and beverage operations having worked with Hilton in London, Abu Dhabi and Geneva, as well as with Kempinski in St Petersburg, and Jury's Inn and Jury's Doyle Hotels in Dublin.
She is joined by Claire Meir, who will head up the sales team as director of sales. She joined De Vere in January 2011 as business development manager and has a strong venue sales background with De Vere and Conference Care where she was account manager.
Omer Siddiqui joins as financial controller, having worked at several De Vere Venues for the last five years, while Chris Owen has been named head chef. Owen previously worked as head chef at De Vere Venues Staverton Park and the Belfry.
