A look at the latest restaurants, hotels, pubs and bars to open their doors
Brook Green hotel
Brook Green hotel in Hammersmith, north London, has refurbished its pub and dining room, adding a contemporary edge to the historic 19th-century building following on from the makeover of the bedrooms. The new look takes inspiration from Parisian brasseries, with high ceilings, wall mirrors and art deco-style pendant lights. The speakeasy-style bar has been given a new lick of paint and will serve an array of spirits, including the locally distilled Sipsmith. An extensive cocktail list will showcase new creations alongside classic martinis and the menu has also been modernised to serve ‘updated British' cuisine.
