Second Café-ODE opens at Gara Rock hotel
ODE-true food has opened a third restaurant, at Gara Rock hotel, the picturesque resort on a headland near Salcombe in Devon.
Owner Tim Bouget said that he couldn't resist the chance to open a restaurant in one of the most stunning locations in the county.
He added: "Gara Rock is a perfect place for our Café-ODE brand, a spectacular location, close to the beach and on the coastal footpath. We are so excited about operating in the South Hams at this amazing landmark property as we'll be able to continue to use the same incredible local producers and offer people a true taste of Devon.
"Our aim is to offer walkers, day trippers and beach goers family friendly food that does not cost the earth."
The menu will be similar to that on offer at sister restaurant Café-ODE in Shaldon, where dishes are inspired by the region's produce. It will include dishes such as pulled Duckaller Farm pork slider with South Devon chipotle chilli sauce, ODE ale battered fish and fries, Haldon range fallow deer scotch eggs with spiced mayo and sweet soy glazed Lyme Bay mackerel.
Café-ODE will also serve local seafood, along with craft ales from Two Beach Brewing Co, organic and bio dynamic wines, and local ciders.
The new restaurant is located within Gara Rock hotel, which is currently up for sale.
