Springboard UK seeks views on employing people with disabilities in hotels
Springboard UK is calling on the industry to share its views on employing people with disabilities in hotels.
The research will help to inform the charity's future work in providing new programmes to help young people into work in the hospitality industry.
The online survey will provide Springboard with a snapshot of current employment levels, and find out what help the industry needs in this area. Critically, it will focus on how the industry will ensure disabled people are given equal opportunities to gain employment within hospitality, and is the hospitality industry already leading the way in employing people with a disability?
On releasing the survey, Anne Pierce, CEO of Springboard UK, commented: "Springboard really needs the industry's help on this issue and this questionnaire will be invaluable in directing the type of service we provide. I realise that industry managers are very busy people but the questionnaire does only take a couple of minutes.
"The results will be published in Caterer and Hotelkeeper on 23 July, and Springboard will use the results to inform its future work. The results will be independently checked and a report written using "slideshare".
"The results will be sent out by 1 August. However, I will always welcome further input and comment," she added.
