Northcote's Obsession 2023 line-up revealed

Obsession, the annual fine dining festival at Northcote in Lancashire, has announced its full line-up of chefs for the 2023 event.

Some 20 established and emerging chefs with 16 Michelin stars between them will cook at the hotel over 17 nights from 20 January until 5 February 2023.

Anna Haugh, Brad Carter, Loïc Villemin, Luke French, John Williams and Spencer Metzger are among those who will join Northcote's executive chef Lisa Goodwin-Allen at the event.

Obsession 2023 will see a return of international chefs after the 2022 event only invited chefs from Britain and Ireland due to the pandemic.

Goodwin-Allen said: "Well what can I say? The vibe, teamwork and overall energy from everyone involved last year was outstanding. It was a real celebration, especially coming straight off the back of a really tough time for the hospitality industry.

"The line-up of chefs for 2023 is really exciting, the style of cooking they are bringing to Obsession is diverse, progressive and highly technical."

French, chef and co-owner of Jöro in Sheffield, said: "I'm absolutely buzzing to be invited to cook at Northcote Obsession23. It's an event every year I've always been in awe of and I never thought I'd be cooking at it."

Obsession was created by Nigel Haworth, the hotel's former executive chef and joint managing director, and managing director Craig Bancroft in 2001.

Tickets will go on sale on 10 November, and are priced at £185 per person, including a Louis Roederer Champagne and canapé reception, five course menu, coffee and petit fours. A specially paired wine flight can be added, starting from around £65 per person.
