The Royal Foresters
The 140-year-old Royal Foresters pub in Ascot has been transformed following an investment of more than £10m by independent pub group Oakman Inns.

The three-year renovation was delayed by the adverse extremes in weather this year, and some work is still ongoing to complete the hotel wing. The site, which has been saved from becoming a housing development, is now serving Mediterranean and British-inspired dishes using local ingredients.

The restored bar features two log fires, while the restaurant has an open theatre-style kitchen, a freshly planted beer garden and a landscaped, 80-cover terrace. The pub's drinks list includes craft beers from the local Windsor & Eton Brewery.
Oakman Inns has opened 23 pubs since it launched its first 10 years ago.
