Manchester Marriott Hotel Piccadilly
Marriott has opened the Manchester Marriott Hotel Piccadilly, its second hotel in the city, following a £33m refurbishment.
The 338-bedroom hotel features a function room for 270 delegates, 11 meeting rooms for up to 49 attendees, a 24/7 MClub Lounge, a gym and an Elemis spa with six treatment rooms and a thermal suite. The property is spread across eight floors with 16 panoramic suites and several family rooms.
Head chef Tom Gardner offers a bistro-style menu at the hotel's restaurant, while Stephen Rycroft has been named general manager of the hotel.
The hotel was acquired by Zetland Capital Partners under a management agreement with Hamilton Pyramid.

Little Violet Door, Soho, London
House party-inspired bar and restaurant Little Door & Co will open its fifth site in London's Soho. The 3,400 sq ft space will have capacity for 180 people and has been brought to life by Behind the Doors Design.

Sticks'n'Sushi, Richmond, London
Copenhagen-based Sticks'n'Sushi is set to open its latest restaurant in the former House of Fraser store in London's Richmond. Sushi, yakitori skewers and plant-based dishes will all feature on the menu.

Corrochio's Cocina & Cocteleria, Hackney, London
Daniel Corrochio and Amy McQuarrie will open a new restaurant and bar above Corrochio's. The 120-cover venue is four times the original's size and will offer regional Mexican plates and cocktails.

Samba Room, Liverpool Street, London
Sushisamba in London's Heron Tower has launched a new cocktail bar and lounge. The 2,500 sq ft destination bar on the 39th floor offers a drinks menu created in collaboration with the Speak in Code team.

Los Mochis London City
Pan-Pacific restaurant Los Mochis has opened its flagship site in London's Liverpool Street. The restaurant, led by ex-Nobu executive chef Leonard Tanyag, features a ninth-floor rooftop, a 3,000 sq ft outdoor terrace and is licensed until 3am.

The Counter, Soho, London
Turkish chef Kemal Demirasal is to launch his second London restaurant, the Counter Soho. The new 60-cover grill and 30-cover underground cocktail bar, Under the Counter, will offer a selection of dishes inspired by his childhood in the Turkish city of Izmir.

All'onda, Fitzrovia, London
Cordula Schulz is set to open Italian restaurant All'onda, meaning ‘on the wave', in London's Fitzrovia. Schulz grew up in Germany and pursued a career in pharmacy before becoming a restaurateur.
The 42-cover restaurant is ‘a love letter to risotto' and will offer iterations of the classic dish under Lombardy-raised head chef Andrea Granzarolo, who spent six years with Hélène Darroze. General manager Marco Montalbano will join the restaurant from Muse by Tom Aikens.
The risotto will be cooked with seasonal produce and contemporary British twists, with variations such as spring green risotto primavera, squid ink, and pumpkin and shiso.
In terms of interiors, the restaurant will feature dark wood and warm lighting.

Fellini, Chelsea, London
Tony Aalam of Paparazzi Café in London's Chelsea is set to return to the neighbourhood with the launch of Italian restaurant Fellini. The 75-cover dining room will feature olive trees, banquette seating and Roman blinds, while the 20-cover wraparound terrace will offer alfresco dining from June.

The Cavendish, Marylebone, London
Chef Laura de Filippis from London's Oyster Shed is set to open the Cavendish Pub in Marylebone. The pub will offer a seasonal selection of European small plates as well as a dog menu featuring the likes of chicken ‘pie' and beef ‘bourguignon'.

Voyagers, Liverpool
Head chef Jake Parry has opened Voyagers in Liverpool, a 70-cover restaurant with a 100-seat bar that takes its name from the poem ‘A Voyager's Dream of Land' by Felicia Hemans. Dishes showcase global flavours created from local ingredients and can be paired with 35 different wines.

Drifter, Brighton
Rob Shenton and Charlie Bunn, the owners of Riddle and Finn's and Hickstead Estate, have teamed up to open Drifter, a vinyl listening bar and restaurant on Brighton's seafront. It will offer a variety of low-intervention wines and wood-fired small plates.

Capilungo, Covent Garden, London
Italian-inspired basement bar Capilungo has opened in London's Covent Garden. The 26-cover venue offers an aperitivo menu alongside a selection of spritz-style drinks and cocktails curated by Gianluca Capilungo, former bar manager of Aqua Restaurant Group.

Six by Nico, Oxford
Chef Nico Simeone is set to expand his Six by Nico concept to Oxford. The 64-cover site will mark the brand's 15th opening and will continue to offer its accessible six-course tasting menu that changes every six weeks.

Bangers, Shoreditch, London
Delivery-only restaurant Bangers is set to open its first bricks and mortar site in London's Shoreditch.
Following a year-long residency serving more than 50,000 breakfasts, founders Will Rhys and Will Mogoseanu are set to return with their signature breakfast sandwiches and selection of hearty sides, including hash browns, homemade baked beans and scrambled egg pots. Bloody Marys and Allpress coffee will also be available.
Bangers works closely with suppliers such as free-range and organic butcher's Lidgates, Spence Bakery and Clarence Court eggs.
For the opening weekend between 19-22 April, the diner will be offering 100 free breakfast sandwiches on a first-come, first-served basis.

American fried chicken specialist Wingstop has opened a 70-cover restaurant in Watford. The group has continued to expand since its launch in the UK in 2018 and now has 43 sites across the country and 1,600 staff.

Boojum, Leeds
Irish-based Mexican chain Boojum has opened a 45-cover restaurant in Leeds, offering burritos, nachos and tacos. This is the brand's first mainland UK opening since launching in Belfast in 2007. The menus were inspired by chief executive David Maxwell's time in Arizona.
