Blueprint Café appoints new head chef
D&D London has appointed Mark Jarvis as head chef at the Blueprint Café.
Jarvis, who joins the restaurant at the Design Museum on the Shad Thames from the Michelin-starred Texture, will take over the kitchen on 16 April. He takes over from former head chef Jeremy Lee who left the restaurant last December after 16 years to join Sam and Eddie Hart's Quo Vadis.
Jarvis joining D&D London is the latest in a series of head chef appointments at the group this year, including Jean-Philippe Patruno at Quaglino's and Timothy Allen at Launceston Place.
Jarvis previously worked at D&D London's Restaurant Sauterelle at the Royal Exchange as well as Roka Canary Wharf and Raymond Blanc's two-Michelin-starred Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons. His CV also includes time at the Lords of the Manor, the Feathers Hotel and the Lamb in Burford.
"We are delighted to have Mark Jarvis back at D&D London," said managing director David Loewi. "Mark is a highly experienced and talented chef and is the perfect fit for the Blueprint Café, one of our best-loved and most iconic restaurants."
Jarvis added: "I feel very honoured to have been selected to take over from Jeremy Lee at the Blueprint Café. It's a beautiful restaurant in a fabulous location and has loyal guests that know the value of seasonal ingredients served simply and well."
