Deans buys Let's Eat in Perth

Willie Deans, executive chef at the Buttery in Glasgow, has bought Let's Eat restaurant in Perth for £170,000.

Deans, who will leave the Buttery, will complete the deal for the leasehold on the two-AA-rosette site, which has 15 years to run, on 31 October.

Deans said: "It's a good business with a solid customer base. Prices and food will remain in a similar vein, although we will offer more choices on the menu and may pitch it more towards the quality end over time."

Turnover at the 65-seat restaurant in the past 12 months was just under £500,000.

Current Let's Eat owner and TV chef Tony Heath said: "We've had 10 cracking years but it's time to move on. I'll hopefully do something connected to the industry, like writing."
