Food-led Herefordshire inn changes hands

The Three Horseshoes, a food-led country inn and restaurant located in Herefordshire's Golden Valley, has changed hands in an off-market deal that took just six weeks to complete.

The former 18th-century coaching inn is just off the A465 Hereford to Abergavenny road in the village of Allensmore.

The detached property offers two bars, a 50-seat restaurant, three en-suite letting bedrooms, three-bedroom owners' accommodation and two, one-bedroom staff cottages.

The large grounds include a 60-seat trade garden and a petanque pitch.

The Bristol office of Christie & Co sold the freehold off a guide price of £1.2m on behalf of Mark and Bridget Ratcliffe and their son Jason, who will continue to manage the pub with his girlfriend Jess Smith.

The new owner is a London-based investment company.
