Stephen and Joanna Bulmer to close Brook Hall Cookery School and join 10 in 8 Fine Dining Group
Stephen and Joanna Bulmer, owners of the Brook Hall Cookery School in Winslow, Buckinghamshire, are to close the business to join the 10 in 8 Fine Dining Group.
The husband and wife team, who have run the school since 2007, will shut it at the end of the month.
They will join the 10 in 8 Fine Dining Group in January, with Stephen taking over as head chef at Restaurant Angélique in Dartmouth, replacing Darren Brown, who left in October. He will also teach regularly at the group's Fine Dining Academy.
Meanwhile, Joanna has been appointed as the 10 in 8 Fine Dining Group's new marketing manager.
Richard Pursey, chairman of the 10 in 8 Fine Dining Group said he was delighted about the Bulmers joining the company.
"Developing talent is crucial for our long-term sustainability and is core to the Fine Dining Academy's rising star apprenticeship programme. Steve and Joanna bring to 10 in 8 specialist skills that complement our existing talents," he said.
Stephen Bulmer was chef-director of the Raymond Blanc Cookery School at Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons in Oxfordshire before setting up Brook Hall.
