Tasty new openings lead to 20% revenue spike

Restaurant group Tasty has reported a 20% spike in revenue to £23.1m (2012: 19.3m) for the 52 weeks to 29 December 2013.

The company, which runs the Wildwood and Dim T restaurant brands, posted statutory pre-tax profits of £1.7m for the period, up from £1.5m the previous year.

Tasty, operated by serial restaurateurs Adam and Sam Kaye, opened five new Wildwood and Wildwood Kitchen restaurants last year, in Didcot, South Woodford, Newmarket, Barnes and Peterborough.

Since the year end, the company has made two further openings, in Oakham and Salisbury.

Tasty said that a number of other sites are in the pipeline.
