Top chefs to man pop-up restaurant on London's Southbank

Some of Britain's top chefs are to man a four-month pop-up restaurant at London's Southbank Centre this summer.

Two-Michelin-starred chefs Sat Bains, Claude Bosi and Daniel Clifford will be joined by Michelin-starred chefs Jonray and Peter Sanchez, and Tom Kitchin at the Cube by Electrolux, which will run from the end of May to September.

Located on the roof of the Royal Festival Hall with views over the London Eye and Westminster, the Cube by Electrolux will offer an intimate dining experience seating 18 guests around one table next to an open-plan kitchen.

Each chef will serve a menu of at least five courses, which will be paired by matching wines and unique sound and light concepts.

The Cube by Electrolux, which comes to London after having run in Brussels and Milan, will kick off with Sat Bains, chef-proprietor of Restaurant Sat Bains with Rooms in Nottingham, who will cook for the first time from 28 May to 10 June (he will return for another week in August).

Bains will be followed by Daniel Clifford, chef-patron of Midsummer House in Cambridge, who will cook from 11 June to 8 July and again in September.

Tom Kitchin, chef-patron of the Kitchin in Edinburgh, and Jonray and Peter Sanchez, from Casamia in Bristol, will cook in July and August respectively.

Tickets to the Cube will be priced £175 per person for lunch and £215 for dinner, seven days a week. Bookings are now being taken for the period from 1 to 24 June, with further dates to be released on 21 May. Visit the Cube by Electrolux website to book.
