Truro restaurant carries £1.1m price tag

The acclaimed Chantek restaurant and bar in Truro has been put on the market with the Exeter office of Christie + Co, which is seeking offers in the region of £1.1m.

Located in New Bridge Street, the restaurant has built up a strong reputation for its Asian fusion cuisine and reflects the heritage of the owner, the daughter of a Cornishman who grew up in Asia.

The name Chantek means ‘beautiful' in Bahasa Malaysian and ‘pouring' or ‘serving' in Thai.

The 100-seat business is arranged across two floors, with a private dining room on the first floor.

Features include a contemporary décor, an open-sided kitchen, and a small paved courtyard area with additional seating.
