CEDA announce 2016 Supplier Awards Shortlist
The Catering Equipment Distributors Association (CEDA) has revealed the shortlist of the association's suppliers up for awards on the night of their annual conference dinner on 15 April 2016.
Adam Mason, CEDA director general for CEDA, commented: "The voting for the awards took place in March and our members have made their top three choices in each category from all of their suppliers, considering factors such as product range, product quality, support and customer service. It must be a great honour to be voted for by your customers and I'd like to congratulate all those shortlisted."
The categories and companies shortlisted for the CEDA Supplier Awards 2016 are:
• Heavy Equipment: Falcon Foodservice Equipment, Hobart UK, Rational UK
• Light Equipment, Accessories and Spares: Commercial Catering Spares, First Choice Catering Spares, Mechline Developments
• Outstanding Customer Service: First Choice Catering Spares, Mechline Developments, Rational UK
Meanwhile buying consortium Cedabond, has announced their best ever results in its annual report.
According to the 2015 Chairman's Report, Cedabond enjoyed a year of outstanding growth, with a bumper 25% increase in turnover compared to 37.6% last year.
Additionally, on the back of total revenue of £52m, revenue returned to members was up by 18.61%.
Membership is also on the up, with 30 newcomers in 2015, and 10 new suppliers on board.
Cedabond chairman and executive director Phil Martin, said: "During 2015 we continued to enhance the operation, making further savings and creating an improved day-to-day operation.
"As a team we have improved our offering to both members and suppliers", he added. "We made changes to the financial model and will be making further advances in 2016 that will make reporting easier all round, leading to another solid year of growth and continued success."
