Jestic appoints Steven Lamb as bakery product manager

Foodservice equipment distributor Jestic has appointed Steven Lamb as bakery product manager as part of its strategy to increase investment in the bakery sector.

Lamb has previously worked at Benier UK and has experience in managing national accounts in the industrial and craft bakery sectors. He also has experience in the production and preparation of items such as sourdough and long shelf life cakes, as well as concentrated butter-based items including biscuits and pastries, whilst his experience incorporates establishing and managing successful independent bakeries across the Midlands.

Jestic managing director Steve Loughton commented: "For the last 10 years, Jestic has been proud to provide its customers with innovative catering solutions in a range of sectors that are continually evolving, thanks to the knowledge of our specialist staff. In bringing Steven's expertise to the team, we are able to maintain that same level of innovation in commercial bakery, one of our newer product sectors.

"One of Steven's first responsibilities will be working closely with Jestic's design team to expand upon the company's existing development kitchen, which is set to be extended to include a dedicated menu development area and testing facility for bakery customers."
