Maxibrew Freshcup from Marco

Maxibrew Freshcup from Marco

The new Maxibrew Freshcup bulk filter coffee brewer is programmed to dump stale coffee after a preset time to prevent time-poor staff serving bitter, brewed beverages - a feature that manufacturer Marco Beverage Systems believes is a world first.

The machine's variable timer mixes stale coffee with cold water and automatically flushes it into the plumbed drain. It then launches into an automatic rinse cycle to remove the stale coffee oils before the next batch is brewed.

Freshly made coffee is kept warm gently in twin-walled insulated urns surrounded by hot water. Freshcup has two 11.5-litre urns with the options of full- and half-brew modes and simultaneous brewing.

To avoid running out of coffee, the machine will only dispose of stale coffee in one urn when a new batch is available in the other.

Coffee is brewed to the Gold Cup standard set by the Speciality Coffee Association of Europe, while separate hot water taps allow operators to draw off as much as 8.5 litres at a time.
