Sage Sanitizing Systems from Mecserflex

The Sage Sanitizing System is claimed to be the most potent, easy-to-use and safe system of cleaning with chlorine.

The portable stainless-steel sanitiser unit brings together three vital components - temperature, pressure and chemical feed - by applying the right amount of chemicals at the right temperature at pressures of 600, 800 or 1,000psi (41, 55 or 69 bar).

It uses tablets of a chlorine compound, calcium hypochlorite, which becomes hypochlorous acid when combined with cold or hot water (up to 71°C) in the unit, so operators do not need to mix dangerous chemicals.

Attached to a hose and spray, the precisely calibrated unit will clean, degrease, sanitise and disinfect while blasting away dirt with jet streams of water.

The hypochlorous acid is up to 120 times more effective than liquid bleach and is capable of eradicating germs such as norovirus (the winter vomiting bug) and MRSA.

Calcium hypochlorite is less corrosive than household bleach, which relies on sodium hypochlorite. The Sanitizer tablets lose just 5% of their potency over 18 months, while bleach loses 50% of its strength in 60 days.

The Sage system is said to reduce cleaning times by up to 66%.
