What was your best subject at school?
PE and drama. I managed to fail home economics!
What do you normally have for breakfast?
Nothing, although I might sneak a pastry if I am at work
What do you do to relax?
Walk my dogs and read. Not at the same time
Which is your favourite restaurant?
At the moment, it is a tiny café in Melrose in the Scottish Borders called Apples for Jam. They do an amazing BLT bagel
What is your favourite food/cuisine?
Japanese but I also love Spanish food
Which ingredient do you hate the most?
Marmite
Are there any foods/ingredients that you refuse to cook with?
Tripe. My mum used to cook it for my d ad when I was a child and the smell has stayed with me
What flavour combinations do you detest?
Mint and chocolate
Which person gave you the greatest inspiration?
My parents. Work ethic from my dad and strength from my mum

A pillow
If you had not gone into catering, where do you think you would be now?
A travel agent
When and where was your last holiday?
Isla Canela on the southern border between Spain and Portugal in September. It was stunning
