Bath Ales adds boutique hotel accommodation to pub
South-west-based pub company and brewer Bath Ales has started offering accommodation after a refurbishment of its Wellington pub in Bristol.
The pub now offers eight boutique-style bedrooms.
Bath Ales retail director Robin Couling said: "We felt that there was a great opportunity within the building to develop the hotel side of the business.
"Certainly the location lends itself perfectly to extending our offer - with two of the city's most popular sporting venues within walking distance and the centre of Bristol just a short taxi ride away."
Bath Ales called in local agency Simple Simon Design, having worked with the company on a number of its pubs, including the recently opened Bristol craft beer bar, Beerd.
The Wellington is five minutes' walk from the Memorial Stadium - home of Bristol RFC and Bristol Rovers FC - and 10 minutes' walk from the Gloucestershire County Cricket Ground.
Couling added: "The Wellington is one of our most popular pubs - especially on match days. Visitors to the city, whether it's for business or leisure, who are looking for great food, a place to stay and a good pint will be made very welcome here."
Last month Bath Ales opened the doors to its latest pub, the Grapes in Oxford. It was the ninth pub in the estate, which includes seven pubs in and around Bristol and Bath and craft beer venue, Beerd.
