Independent caterer Wilson Storey Halliday has won the Sage Business Award for the fastest growing business of 2003 for businesses with 100 or more employees. Turnover at the Berkshire contract caterer rose 32% from £34m in 2001 to £45m in 2002.

Net assets, which represent the asset value within the business, increased to £2.8m during 2002. In the company's five-year history this amount has nearly quadrupled. The company has 260 contracts and employs more than 1,500 people.
