Three-year Cardiff contract for Eurest
Eurest has started a three-year contract at British Telecom's Internet Data Centre in Celtic Bay, Cardiff. The contract is worth about £200,000 a year and Eurest serves up to 250 BT employees at a 40-seat restaurant known as Fuse Bistro. Employees are able to preorder lunch through the intranet. Eurest has also won a contract with Marshalls, a supplier of concrete and stone paving, in Elland, West Yorkshire. Opportunity Nokia for Partnership
Catering Partnership has gained a one-year staff catering contract with NSH Techlogistics in Coleshill, Birmingham, a repair service centre for Nokia phones. Under the deal, worth £86,000, Catering Partnership is providing breakfast, lunch, vending and hospitality for 200 NSH employees. Catering was previously operated in-house
Sodexho expands offer at hospitals
Sodexho Healthcare has expanded its retail operations at the Royal Liverpool Hospital and the New Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. Both foodcourts include Strollers, Spitfires and Caf‚ Express units, which offer a wide range of express food and beverages.
Sodexho has a 15-year lease with each hospital and is paying a commercial rent. Combined annual turnover is forecast at £1.5m.
Scolarest lands a £1.68m school deal
Scolarest has won a 12-year contract worth £1.68m at Gosford Hill School in Kidlington, Oxfordshire. As part of the new contract, the Compass division financed a complete refurbishment of the school kitchen and serving area during the summer holidays. The new facility, called Choices Caf‚, offers a range of food to the school's 1,200 pupils, including pasta, jacket potatoes and tortillas.
At Bournemouth University, Scolarest has extended its contract with the addition of a Ritazza coffee shop next to the university's new library. The total contract runs for four years and is worth £240,000 a year.
